اليتيم كلمة تطلق على من مات أبوه وأمه وهو في سن صغيرة، أي أنه لم يصل لسن الرشد بعد. وتطلق أيضا على من فقد أبوه فقط أو من فقد أمه فقط. اليتم أمر سيء للغاية وكارثة تحل بالانسان فتجعله مكسور القلب طوال العمر. بما أن الاب والام هم أغلى ما نملك وهم رمز الحنان والامان فإن فقدهما من أصعب الامور.

عندما يفقد الطفل الصغير والده فإنه يكون يتيما ومعنى هذا اللفظ أن هذا الطفل أصبح وحيدا في هذه الحياة الصعبه. وأيضا معناه أنه ليس له شخص يحميه أو يدافع عنه. وبالتالي ليس له من يدعمه معنويا أو ماديا. ولذلك نرى الكثير من الاطفال اليتامى يخرجون للعمل في سن مبكرة. ولذلك قام الدين الاسلامي بالتحدث عنهم وحفظ حقوقهم في آيات نزلت من رب العالمين.
Orphan rights in Islam

بماذا اوصانا الله تجاه اليتيم
1_ وصانا الله عز وجل بالتكفل باليتيم. بمعنى أن يربيه ويعلمه من هم في الدرجة الأولى من أقاربه. فإذا مات الاب حل العم محله. وإذا كان العم غير موجود يقوم الجد بتربية الصغير. وفي حال لم يوجد العم ولا الجد يتكفل به خاله.
1_ God Almighty has instructed us to take care of the orphan. Meaning that he is raised and taught by those who are in the first degree of his relatives.
If the father died, the uncle( the brother of the father) took his place. If the uncle is not present, the grandfather should take the place of the father. In the event that the uncle or grandfather is not found, his uncle( the brother of the mother) will take care of him
2_ وأيضا تعلمنا من سيدنا محمد عليه افضل الصلاة والسلام أن نحافظ على مشاعر اليتيم ولا نهينه أو نشعره بالنقص. وأن تعطف عليه ونحاول تعويضه عما يعانيه.
2_ We also learned from our master Muhammad, may the best of prayers and peace be upon him, to protect the feelings of the orphan and not insult him or make him feel inferior. And to have compassion on him and try to compensate him for what he suffers.
3_ من أهم الأمور التي يجب الحذر منها هي أكل مال اليتيم. وذلك لأنها مصيبة وترمي بفاعلها في النار. فمال اليتيم أمانه حتى يستردها.

4_ يجب أن نوفر لليتيم مكان يعيش فيه ومال يأكل منه في حال لم يكفله أحد من أقاربه. فكما نرى أطفال الشوارع الذين تخلى عنهم الجميع، فلابد أن يكفلهم المجتمع وتكفلهم الحكومة.

جزاء كفالة اليتيم في الدنيا والآخرة
حدد الدين الإسلامي جزاء كبير جدا لمن يكفل يتيما ويراعيه ويعوضه عن أهله. وهذا الجزاء يكون في الدنا والآخرة.

The penalty for sponsoring an orphan in this world
فيكون في الدنيا عن طريق فتح أبواب الخير لمن كفل اليتيم فتجد رزقه قد زاد وأصبحت صحته أقوى. وأيضا يتغير قلب كافل اليتيم فيصبح أطهر وأكثر عطفا على الناس.
So it will be in this world by opening the doors of goodness to the one who sponsors the orphan, so you will find his livelihood has increased and his health has become stronger. Also, the heart of the sponsor of an orphan changes, so he becomes purer and more sympathetic to people.
وأما بالنسبة لجزاء كافل اليتيم في الآخرة فهو الجنة بصحبة سيدنا محمد عليه أفضل الصلاة والسلام. وهذا لقوله صلى الله عليه وسلم أنا وكافل اليتيم كهاتين في الجنة وأشار بإصبعيه السبابة والوسطي. ومعنى الحديث أن كافل اليتيم مع سيدنا محمد وملازم له في الجنة.

As for the reward for the sponsor of an orphan in the Hereafter, he is in Paradise in the company of our Master Muhammad, may blessings and peace be upon him.
This is because our prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said that I and the sponsor of an orphan are like these two in Paradise, and he pointed with his index and middle fingers.
The meaning of the hadeeth is that the sponsor of the orphan is with our master Muhammad and his attendant will be in Paradise.
يوم اليتيم
هذا اليوم قد تم تخصيصه في مصر حتى يتجمع فيه كل من يريد التبرع بالمال. وأيضا من يريد التبرع بملابس وألعاب لليتامي. يقام هذا اليوم في أول جمعة من شهر ابريل. وفيه يتجمع كل الناس وتشترك الجمعيات الخيرية مع بعضها ويذهب الجميع للملاجيء ولليتامى في الاماكن التي تضمهم. ثم يبدأون بتلبية كل طلباتهم وبإعطائهم كل ما يلزمهم من ملابس وألعاب وغيرها. وفي هذا اليوم يتبرع رجال الاعمال للملاجيء بالمال والمستلزمات التي يحتاجونها.
